What is cyrotherapy?
You probably know by now that cryotherapy is getting into a really, really cold room for 3 minutes while jumping around to your favorite song, trying to stay warm. But why would anyone choose to do this? Scientifically, cryotherapy creates vasoconstriction in the body and ignites your parasympathetic nervous system. An active parasympathetic nervous system is often associated with long term healing properties. Our cryotherapy chamber is a whole-body chamber and uses electricity to get down to the frigid therapeutic temperatures.
What should I expect?
You should expect to be cold! But only for three minutes. To prepare for your cryo session, you will find all of the items needed ready for you in the changing station. This includes a body towel, mittens, and gloves (trust us, you’re gonna need them). Once you’re all geared up, you enter the chamber with your favorite song cued up on your headphones and you’ll start to feel the temperature drop. Our cryo chamber ranges from -148 degrees F to -220 degrees F. Brrr! Once you’re done your body will warm up quickly and you’ll be feeling ready to conquer your day.
